Table 1: Success Criteria, Level A

CriteriaConformance levelRemarks and explanations
1.1.1 Non-text ContentSupportsInformative images have text alternatives and decorative images are hidden from assistive technology. The exporter map on /search is accompanied by a text list of the same results. The spam check (Google reCAPTCHA) offers an audio alternative provided by Google.
1.2.1 Audio-only and Video-only (Prerecorded)Partially SupportsFromerica's own content has no audio-only or video-only information; the home page background video is decorative. Paid advertising slots may show short videos supplied by advertisers, which may not include a text alternative.
1.2.2 Captions (Prerecorded)Partially SupportsOur own videos are decorative and silent. Advertiser-supplied videos play muted and may not include captions.
1.2.3 Audio Description or Media Alternative (Prerecorded)Partially SupportsSame as 1.2.1: advertiser-supplied videos may not include an alternative.
1.3.1 Info and RelationshipsSupportsPages use semantic headings, landmarks, lists, labelled form fields and data tables with header cells. In the registration forms each error message is programmatically associated with its field (aria-describedby and aria-invalid).
1.3.2 Meaningful SequenceSupportsReading and navigation order follow the visual order.
1.3.3 Sensory CharacteristicsSupportsInstructions do not rely only on shape, color, size, location or sound.
1.4.1 Use of ColorSupportsColor is not the only means of conveying information; changes in figures show a sign and arrow, and links in text are distinguishable (verified with Google Lighthouse).
1.4.2 Audio ControlSupportsNo audio plays automatically; videos are muted.
2.1.1 KeyboardSupportsAll functionality tested on the main pages is operable with a keyboard. Panning the Google map is optional: the same results are available in the text list.
2.1.2 No Keyboard TrapSupportsKeyboard focus can always move away from every component tested, including the embedded map.
2.1.4 Character Key ShortcutsNot ApplicableThe site does not use single-character keyboard shortcuts.
2.2.1 Timing AdjustableSupportsContent has no time limits, except email verification codes and password-reset links, which expire for security reasons; users can request a new one at any time.
2.2.2 Pause, Stop, HideSupportsThe home page background video has a visible Pause button and does not play when the user has requested reduced motion; advertiser videos include playback controls.
2.3.1 Three Flashes or Below ThresholdSupportsNo content flashes more than three times per second.
2.4.1 Bypass BlocksSupportsEvery page has a "Skip to main content" link as its first focusable element, plus landmark regions and headings.
2.4.2 Page TitledSupportsEach page has a unique, descriptive title.
2.4.3 Focus OrderSupportsFocus order follows the logical reading order.
2.4.4 Link Purpose (In Context)SupportsLink text, together with its context, describes its destination.

2.5.2 Pointer CancellationSupportsActions are triggered on release (standard links and buttons).
2.5.3 Label in NameSupportsVisible labels are included in the accessible names of controls.
2.5.4 Motion ActuationNot ApplicableNo function is operated by device motion.
3.1.1 Language of PageSupportsThe page language is declared and changes to Spanish when the visitor switches language.

3.2.6 Consistent HelpSupportsThe contact link appears in the same place in the site footer across pages.
3.3.1 Error IdentificationSupportsInput errors are described to the user in text.
3.3.2 Labels or InstructionsSupportsAll form fields have visible labels; required formats are explained.
3.3.7 Redundant EntrySupportsMulti-step forms do not ask for the same information twice.
4.1.1 Parsing (WCAG 2.0 and 2.1 only)SupportsPer the W3C errata of September 2023, this criterion is always satisfied for HTML content. In addition, 29 pages are checked every week with the W3C Nu HTML validator, with 0 errors.
4.1.2 Name, Role, ValueSupportsControls expose correct names, roles and states (no errors in WebAIM WAVE and Google Lighthouse on the main pages). Third-party embeds (Google Maps, reCAPTCHA, Stripe Checkout) are provided by those vendors.

Table 2: Success Criteria, Level AA

CriteriaConformance levelRemarks and explanations
1.2.4 Captions (Live)Not ApplicableThe site has no live audio or video.
1.2.5 Audio Description (Prerecorded)Partially SupportsOur own videos are decorative; advertiser-supplied videos may not include audio description.
1.3.4 OrientationSupportsContent works in both portrait and landscape.
1.3.5 Identify Input PurposeSupportsFields that collect personal information (name, email, phone, organization, address, password) declare their purpose with the autocomplete attribute. The exporter address field uses an address search and turns browser autofill off.
1.4.3 Contrast (Minimum)SupportsNo contrast errors were found in WebAIM WAVE on the ten main pages. Content inside third-party embeds is not controlled by Fromerica.
1.4.4 Resize TextSupportsText can be enlarged to 200% without loss of content or function.
1.4.5 Images of TextSupportsText is presented as text, except the Fromerica logo.

1.4.12 Text SpacingSupportsTested on the ten main pages with increased line, letter, word and paragraph spacing: no content was lost or cut off.
1.4.13 Content on Hover or FocusSupportsNo custom content appears on hover or focus; tooltips are the browser default.
2.4.5 Multiple WaysSupportsPages can be reached through navigation menus, search, related links and the sitemap.
2.4.6 Headings and LabelsSupportsHeadings and labels describe their topic or purpose.
2.4.7 Focus VisibleSupportsA visible focus indicator is shown for keyboard users across the site.
2.4.11 Focus Not Obscured (Minimum)SupportsWhile the cookie notice is open, the page reserves space equal to the height of the notice when moving focus with the keyboard, so a focused element is not entirely hidden behind it. Verified by tabbing through ten pages at 1280, 390 and 320 CSS pixels wide.
2.5.7 Dragging MovementsSupportsDragging the map is optional; zoom buttons and the text list provide the same function.
2.5.8 Target Size (Minimum)SupportsInteractive targets on the main pages meet the 24 by 24 CSS pixel minimum or its spacing exception (verified with Google Lighthouse).
3.1.2 Language of PartsSupportsContent in Spanish is presented on pages declared in Spanish.

302.2 With Limited VisionPartially SupportsText can be enlarged to 200% and pages reflow at 320 CSS pixels without loss of content; text contrast meets 4.5:1 and focus is visible. Contrast of some non-text interface elements outside the forms has not been fully verified.
302.3 Without Perception of ColorSupportsColor is not the only means of conveying information; links, errors and states also use text, icons or underlines.

302.5 With Limited HearingPartially SupportsSame as 302.4.

302.7 With Limited ManipulationSupportsAll functions can be operated with a keyboard alone; no function requires multi-point or path-based gestures, dragging or simultaneous actions.
302.8 With Limited Reach and StrengthSupportsThe product is a website used through the visitor's own device and assistive technology; it imposes no reach or strength requirements.
302.9 With Limited Language, Cognitive, and Learning AbilitiesSupportsNavigation and naming are consistent across pages, form fields have visible labels and text error messages with suggestions, the only time limits are security codes and reset links that can be requested again, the home page video can be paused, and the main pages are available in English and Spanish.
