How Fromerica works

Here is the honest short version. Fromerica does not sell anything, and we are never part of your deal. Our job is the introduction: finding a real, active US exporter for exactly what you need, and giving you a clean, easy way to reach out with confidence. Everything that happens next, price, payment, shipping, is a direct conversation between you and them. That is on purpose.

IF YOU CAME HERE TO IMPORT

A screen by screen tour of your journey

You do not need a manual to use Fromerica, but since you asked nicely, here is exactly what each screen does for you and why it looks the way it does.

1

The search bar

Type what you need in plain words: steel pipes, leather bags, solar panels, anything at all. Fromerica looks for what you type in exporters' product names, categories, descriptions, company names and locations, then ranks the matches with a feasibility score that weighs the product match, the distance to the nearest US port and the estimated transit time. Simple input, useful output.

2

Results and the map

Every exporter you see is active and currently paying to stay listed, so you know the company still exists and answers its mail. Each result carries a feasibility score out of 100, built from how well the product matches, how close the exporter sits to a US export port, and how long transit would take to reach you. The map plots ports and airports too, so logistics become a glance instead of a guess.

3

An exporter's profile

Everything you read here, certifications, employee count, production capacity, was typed in by the exporter themselves. We say that clearly on every profile because it is true: verify anything important before you commit real money. What you can lean on more comfortably are the star ratings and written reviews, since those come from other importers who actually reached out and lived to tell the tale.

4

Contact form and request for quote

You can message one exporter straight from their profile, or post a single request for quote and let every matching exporter come find you instead. Need a hand with customs or freight too? Tick one box and we notify the right professionals at the same moment, no separate errand required.

5

Your importer dashboard

This is where you stop having to remember things. Save a search and we email you the instant a new exporter matches it. Follow a tariff code and we email you if the rate ever moves. Every request for quote you posted shows its own live status, so a glance tells you which ones are still waiting, which got quotes, and which are done.

IF YOU MANUFACTURE IN THE US

Five short steps to get discovered

Getting your business in front of global buyers is genuinely just five steps. No sales call required.

1. Company

Your company name, your email, and a password for your dashboard. That is honestly everything we ask to get you started.

2. Location

Type your address and a pin drops on the map for you, or drag it yourself if you would rather be exact down to the loading dock. This is what lets buyers judge how close you sit to a US export port.

3. Products

Add what you manufacture, one product at a time, or paste in a whole list at once if your catalog runs long. This text is exactly what buyers search, so the more specific you are, the easier you get found.

4. Images and details

Up to four photos, your production capacity, and the markets you already export to. A profile with real photos earns noticeably more trust from a stranger on the other side of the planet than one without.

5. Plan

Choose monthly or annual. Your listing goes live the moment you confirm the email we send you, and from there your profile is searchable and sitting on the map for the world to find.

Your dashboard, and why you will want to open it again

We show you a profile strength score with the exact fields still missing, so finishing your profile feels like a short checklist instead of a mystery. Your activity numbers (views, contacts, quotes) come with a comparison against last month, so you always know if things are trending up or need attention. And when a new request for quote matches what you sell, you hear about it by email the moment it is posted, not days later when the buyer already found someone else.

IF YOU HELP OTHERS TRADE

Same five step spirit, built for service providers

Customs brokers, freight forwarders, trade attorneys: this one is for you, and it follows the same easy rhythm as the exporter registration.

1. Photo and basics

Your name, email, a password, and a profile photo. A real face builds more trust than a logo ever will.

2. Profession and license

Pick your role from our list and add your license or authorization number if you have one, so buyers know exactly what you do.

3. Routes you cover

Which origin and destination countries, and which product categories, you actually work with day to day.

4. Clients and testimonials

Optional, but a short quote from a happy client says more in five seconds than a paragraph about yourself.

5. Office and contact

Your US office address and which of your phone, WhatsApp, or email you want buyers to see on your public profile. You choose exactly what shows.

Your dashboard: leads land here, ready to work

When an importer marks on their request for quote that they need your kind of help, it appears directly in your dashboard with their full contact details already visible. No waiting for them to find you first, no extra message to send before you can actually help.

TOOLS THAT COME WITH IT

Free, and not locked behind a paywall

Tariff calculator

Look up any product's US import duty using the official rate published by the government, refreshed daily. Follow a code and we email you if it ever changes, so you stop having to check by hand.

Denied party screening

Check a company name against the US government's consolidated list of restricted parties before doing business with them. Free, and it takes about the same time as reading this sentence.

Fromerica AI (coming soon)

Coming soon: an assistant you will be able to ask in plain language to look up a tariff, run a screening check or point you toward the right exporter, using the same data as the rest of the site.

A few honest basics for that last step

  • Verify who you are actually dealing with. Check their website, ask for references, and never rely on the listing alone.
  • Ask for a sample before committing to a full order, whenever the product allows it.
  • Do not wire money until you are confident the company is real. A short video call goes a long way.
  • For customs, freight, or trade finance, a licensed professional makes this safer and faster than doing it alone.
